Video Games

Yesterday was Sony PlayStation 5 presentation and although I like video games I’ve never pay attention to this events. Usually because I’m working or I’m working. Yesterday, while taking a break from jamming a little with one of my customers that became a friend we watched part of it and I was impressed. Let me give you a bit of back story. I was born in December 1978, that make some 41 years at the time of writing this. The Atari games were fun, although I got to play it when it wasn’t a novelty anymore. I got the Sega Master System when there were no stores in town carrying games...

I Can’t Breathe

I can’t breathe. When spring comes around and my allergies flare up. It is a really horrible sensation to not be able to breathe. I can’t breathe. When I get asthma and it’s almost impossible to take a deep breath and there’s no air coming in, not being able to finish a sentence when talking. I can’t breathe. I wake up in the middle of the night breathless and my chest hurts in the morning. I use an inhaler and hope that it works and I don’t stop breathing while I’m asleep. I can’t breathe. I can’t breathe, that phrase has been haunting me all day. I can’t breathe....

Tattooing post COVID-19

There are new standards and protocols in the shop, and they are absolute. Tattoos are by appointment only, there will be no walk ins to the shop. You can call the shop, or contact me personally to get tattooed. Same day is not out of the question, but has to be arranged. You will be coming to your appointment alone. I know this sucks, but it has to be for a while. Masks are mandatory for the duration of your tattoo. If you don't have one, we will provide it for you, but we ask the you provide your own. You will be asked to wash and sanitize hands, phone and any other items upon arrival....

The Barbarian

Here’s another Dungeons and Dragons inspired set of sketches. I’ve been enjoying doing these sketches a lot, to the point I’m thinking of making an art book or sketchbook, sort of monster’s manual. Gotta work that idea a bit more in my head, make a list of monsters and classes I would like to draw, shit! How about you guys help me with this idea? What monsters would you want to see me draw? Remember to follow my social media gambitsink and let me know what you think.

This Is Us: Friendship

Today was not a good day, I got some bad news. Expected news, but bad news nonetheless and that a story for another day. Today’s story is about how friendship pulled me from a dark place. I only mentioned Wilfred in the comic, but the truth is that without friends like Cynthia, Marla, Andrew, AJ and of course my son David, today would have been a really bad day. So this is my thank you letter to them. I love you guys. This Is Us: Friendship I did not know how much I needed to see Scorpion from Mortal Kombat hugging a giant teddy bear until today. Check out the trailer for the new expansion...

Hello everyone! I hope that all of you are healthy and doing good. I’ve been a bit MIA in these past few weeks, but no worries I’m back. I’ve been working on some commissions and waiting anxiously to get back to the studio and start tattooing again. In the meantime I just keep myself busy sketching, drawing and playing video games and RPG (roll playing games). A few weeks ago I played some Dungeons & Dragons with my son a my good friend AJ via Skype using Roll20. We hadn’t played in a while and needless to say we had a lot of fun. I can’t wait to continue these adventures. That...

Space Adventures vol. 2

As days go by things seem to look a bit grimmer every time I check the news. I’m sure that all of you feel the same, after all we are all in the same boat Earth. All we have is each other, look out after your neighbor they might need something and not have the means to get it or are alone and just friendly hello might be enough to lift their spirits (make sure to keep at least 6 ft apart just in case). And if it’s you that need help, reach out, don’t bottle it in. Call a friend or video chat we a love one, I sometimes don’t even need to tell them what I’m going through, just talking...

The Apocalypse We Wanted

Years ago my friend Anibal Delgado and I tried our first webcomic. The Zombiepocalypse: Humanity’s Worst Enemy Is Humanity Itself. We wanted to explore how humanity is worse than zombies if there was a zombie apocalypse. We published 24 weekly pages and looking back at them now, I have to say I’m really proud of them. They are full of mistakes and I can see everything I can do differently, but I am proud of those first baby steps. I am still learning how to make comics and every day I learn something new. One of the crazy ideas AJ (Anibal) had was that the zombies were created by aliens....
